Junior Estimator
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
EE Class: Full-time
Hours: 40/week
Position Summary:
This is an Entry-Level position that works directly with the Estimating and Project Management teams to help estimate and manage commercial construction projects. Some of your duties would include developing estimates, developing and maintaining Project schedules, and interacting with sub-contractors/suppliers.
Work Functions & Responsibilities
Estimating:
-
Review of plans, specifications and bid documentation in preparation of a bid.
-
Complete the Estimate Check List for each project assigned.
-
Create subcontractor/bidder list for each project assigned.
-
Attend pre-bid meetings with Owner/Architect/Purchasing Agent, as needed
-
Contact subcontractors during bidding process for status and guidance.
-
Create RFI’s during bidding process to ensure an accurate bid.
-
Gather all subcontractor quotes and review for accuracy.
-
Using the full bid package, put together an estimate package to be reviewed with Lead Estimator before bid is submitted.
-
On-time delivery of completed bids to customer.
-
Organization of bid paperwork.
-
Assist with subcontractor/supplier buyout for successful bids.
-
Assist project managers with project startup after successful bid.
-
Coordination of Bonding when applicable.
-
Preparation of Active Job Number Listing.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of software including Microsoft Office.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
-
Must have a valid driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
-
1+ years of Construction Field Experience.
-
Bachelor’s (preferred) or Associate Degree in Construction Management or related field.
Physical Requirements:
-
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 60% of the time.

Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
-
Continuously operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, printer and telephone.

Semi-frequent stair climbing.

Frequent trips to pre-bids and site visits in various locations
Superintendent
EE Class: Full-time
Hours: 40/week
Position Summary:
Field position supervising construction of projects from start-up to completion using the resources
provided by the Company including labor, materials and subcontractors.
Work Functions & Responsibilities
Project Supervision:
-
Studys plans, specifications and other material related to project to become completely familiar with the scope of work.

Obtain/oversee all permits required for construction. Ensures that all subcontractor permits are obtained.

Pre-construction and periodic photo and video documentation
-
Assists Project Manager in creating a construction schedule, material supplier/subcontractor list, and materials list for the project.
-
Coordinates and schedules subcontractors and materials to maintain the project schedule.
-
Supervises all workers on the site to ensure the work is completed in a safe, professional manner.
-
Responsible for jobsite safety including safety meetings, PPE use, JHA compliance, etc.
-
Responsible for all Quality Control on project.
-
Maintain a current set of plans and specifications at the project site.
-
Maintain as-built plans on site for close out.
-
Arrange and prepare for any inspections required to complete the project and obtain a Certificate of Occupancy.

Prepare daily reports on the form provided.
-
Submit time cards, delivery slips for material, daily reports and any other project related paperwork on time each week
-
Maintain constant communication between the Owner’s representative, Architect, Engineer, and Project Manager and provide them with information regarding any changes to the project.

7-10 years of Construction Field/Supervisory Experience.

Carpenter
EE Class: Full-time
Hours: 40/week
Position Summary:
Carpenter with extensive skill and experience in all aspects of the commercial building trades
Work Functions & Responsibilities:
Carpentry
-
Extensive knowledge of construction trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment.
-
Ability to read blueprints and follow basic instruction
-
Ability to do layout forming, framing, roofing, finishing and trim
-
Experience with light gauge metal framing, drywall, ceiling systems and insulation
-
Posses the basic tools required to efficiently perform any common building construction tasks
-
Provide own transportation to/from jobsite
-
Ability to perform tasks on all areas and aspects of construction projects.
-
Ability to climb, crawl, lift, carry and manipulate heavy objects
Minimum Qualifications
-
OSHA 10
-
Basic tools & transportation
-
Must have a valid drivers license
Preferred Qualifications
-
3+ years of Carpentry Experience.
