Mattern Construction Inc.

It is with great pleasure that I can say that my office expansion project handled by Mattern Construction was carried out professionally and efficiently. They converted 3,500 square feet of warehouse space into professional, high-quality medical office space. This was handled by a well-organized effort and a wonderful project manager that kept all the wheels in motion. We are down to a few finishing touches that are left to accomplish, but the project has been a pleasure. I would highly recommend them.

It has been a pleasure working with Mattern over the past year on the Backus Hospital Laboratory Renovation project. It was also great to work with your superintendent Rodney. He made the phasing go very smoothly. Rod understood that having us on the job unnecessarily would hinder the project more than benefit the project. Getting us in when he needed us versus having us there just to be on the site doesn't help anyone. That is a great awareness tool and a great value to everyone....I do hope that you found it a benefit to hire HFP for this project and that you will consider us on any of your future projects.
Thank you,

Mark and I, and NPU management just wanted to thank you and your crew for acting in a professional manner and addressing all of our concerns. I was especially pleased when they installed the steel plates and didn't back fill until I had a chance to inspect it. Look forward to seeing your bid next year.

Just a word of thanks for the great job you and your subcontractors did on resolving the emergency sewer problem at our facility. Fast response, continuous effort through bad weather, excellent work, clean-up and landscaping. I do appreciate your commitment to our support.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your staff for the work that you have done for us over the last few years. Going as far back as the site work you did for the construction of the surface parking lot at the Training Academy in Meriden to your recent efforts regarding the office renovations at our Fleet Operations facility in Colchester, the end product has consistently drawn praise from the end users.
In addition to providing the bricks & mortar piece, Mattern has also excelled at other areas of service delivery. Given the fact that we are a unique agency in terms of our security issues (which are substantially more complex than the Department of Correction), that most of our facilities operate 24/7, and the poor condition of most of the buildings, the contractors that we invite to bid are chosen with great care. To that end, Mattern Construction has consistently exceeded our expectations.
Typically the projects we bid out are not designed by an architect/engineer - this requires a lot of interaction between the contractor, myself and the end user. It is due to the confidence and trust that I have in Larry (Wise), that is ultimately backed up by the skilled Mattern work force, that has been the reason your company was selected on some of our most critical projects. We know the project will be done with minimal interruption to our ongoing operations and will come in on time and budget.
